In a world still emerging from a deep, sick period of spreading hate and separation between the so-called moral and immoral, a few modern terms and great ideas have been corrupted and/or distorted by individuals, organizations and institutions that we all love, trust and respect. But when we seek the truth and become willing to explore other perspectives with a truly open mind and heart, we may be pleasantly surprised at what we discover. Countless lies and distortions of the truth have been perpetuated by plain stupidity, blind ignorance or a perverted desire, by some, to divide and classify the so-called good from the bad. Well meaning people use words of hate and divisiveness to establish and maintain the illusion of power and control of others who are "different." Fortunately, in this " information age" we are witnessing a swell of truth in many areas of life. Sometimes the truth will contradict what we've been told our entire lives. It can be shocking for people who have dwelled in darkness and disillusionment due to their strong social, political and religious ties. We've discovered more simple and enduring truths about life on this planet. One truth that cannot be denied; "Love" is the most potent, meaningful and enduring reality" in the human spirit. We must develop the ability to forgive each other for our differences and let go of control and place faith in a Higher Power (HP) and allow our HP to guide us. Many of us have discovered that this mindset helps us find and maintain a lasting outer and inner peace. Then we are free to discover our personal "bliss" and help others to do the same. When we learn to live in a state of constant forgiveness, we then become available to perform important service work for and with each other in our neighborhoods and across social, economic and geographic borders. We strive to be vigilant and mindful about what is real and let the love and strength of our HP flow through us to all those we are given an opportunity to help. We who are fortunate enough to believe in these, or similar ideas, know that our
Higher Power will always place other kind and loving souls in our paths to help
us in our journey. All we have to do is keep the faith, be willing to help rather than harm others and simply open our hearts to the possibilities of a
better world. |
